What is Covered?

Comprehensive Coverage

This warranty covers repairs on any original Lexus part of the vehicle that is defective in material or in workmanship under normal use for a period of 48 months (from the warranty registration date) or 80,000 km, whichever comes first.

Powertrain: Powertrain is covered up to a total of 72 months (from the warranty registration date), or 110,000 km, whichever comes first.
Corrosion Perforation: Any body sheet metal found, under normal use, to have developed a perforation (hole through the body panel) from corrosion due to defects in material or workmanship is under warranty for 72 months (from the warranty registration date) regardless of distance travelled.
Emission Control Components: All emission control components are covered under the basic vehicle warranty for 48 months or 80,000 km, whichever comes first. Major emission control components are covered for 96 months or 130,000 km and 24 months or 40,000 km coverage for emission performance warranty. Please contact your local Lexus dealer for further detail.
Adjustments: Service adjustments (minor repairs not usually associated with the replacement of parts) are covered for 12 months (from the warranty registration date) or 32,000 km, whichever comes first.

Alternate Transportation

If your vehicle is required to stay at the dealership service department because of a warrantable condition for an extended period of time, Lexus will provide you with a rental vehicle for a maximum of five (5) days at no cost to you.

2003 And Up Model Year Original Equipment Tire Warranty

The Original Equipment Tires on 2003 Lexus vehicles are covered by Lexus for a period of 48 months or 80,000 km, whichever occurs first, from the warranty registration date. Any tire replacement, which becomes necessary due to a defect in material or workmanship, is warrantable with exceptions. Please contact your local Lexus dealer for details.

Tire Road Hazard Warranty (2009 and Prior Model Years)

Original equipment tires damaged by road hazards are covered under the Tire Road Hazard Protection warranty. This coverage is provided for a period of 36 months or 50,000 km or until the tire treadwear indicator becomes visible, whichever occurs first. The warranty applies to direct expenses incurred to repair or replace original equipment tires. Coverage is provided in respect to parts, labour, installation, balancing, and the applicable taxes. Your Lexus dealer will make the appropriate repair and claim.

Warranty for Lexus Hybrid Vehicles

Hybrid-related components: 96 months/160,000 km (applies to the battery control module, hybrid vehicle control module, hybrid vehicle battery and the inverter/converter).
Basic Warranty: 48 months/80,000 km
Powertrain and safety restraints: 72 months/110,000 km
Roadside Assistance: 24-hour roadside assistance for the first 4 years (unlimited kilometrage), after the original registration date.
Corrosion/Perforation: 72 months/unlimited kilometres
Tire warranty: 48 months/80,000 km
