Another Lexus first, a groundbreaking hybrid version of the new GS Sport Sedan will be available in early 2006. Unveiled at the New York Auto Show in March, the 2007 GS 450h is the world's first full hybrid luxury sedan, adding another powerful dimension to the new GS lineup. Distinguished by dynamic L-Finesse styling, the rear-wheel drive GS 450h is powered by a completely new Lexus hybrid powertrain. Together, the 3.5-litre V6 engine and a high-torque electric drive motor-generator produce more than 300 horsepower, 0-60 acceleration in under six seconds, and significantly reduced emissions.

The all-new 2006 Lexus IS Sport Sedan created quite a stir when it was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show today (March 1). Reflecting the new Lexus L-finesse design language, the new IS features sculpted styling, a sport luxury interior, and more driver-focused technology than ever.

The revolutionary Lexus RX 400h, the world's first Luxury Hybrid SUV, will be available at Lexus dealerships across Canada in April. Built on the popular RX 330 platform, the RX 400h offers a groundbreaking combination of exceptional performance and power, along with outstanding mileage and ultra low emissions. Loaded with advanced Lexus technology, comfort and safety features, the RX 400h delivers the equivalent of 270 peak horsepower and combined fuel efficiency better than the average compact sedan. The RX 400h is powered by Lexus Hybrid Synergy Drive, which combines a powerful electric motor with the same highly efficient 3.3-litre V6 engine that powers the RX 330. As a full hybrid, the RX 400h can operate in three separate modes - gasoline, electric, or a combination of both. It also features our new Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management System (VDIM) for exception stability, control and handling. And as for looks, luxury and convenience, there's no doubt that it's a Lexus.

In February Lexus will introduce a completely new direction in design along with major advances in technology. To ensure total financial privacy, a personal security code is available from Lexus Financial Services. When it was introduced in Canada last year, the GX 470 was immediately recognized as a category standout for its on-road and off-road performance capabilities. Those capabilities are extended even further for 2005 with significant engine enhancements. New VVT-i technology combined with a two-stage Acoustic Control Induction System (ACIS) deliver a serious boost in both horsepower, from 235 to 275, and torque, from 320 to 330 lb/ft. Along with improved power, performance and towing capacity comes greater efficiency and lower emissions, allowing the 2005 GX to meet stringent Low Emissions Vehicle (LEV) standards.

Under this new program, physically-challenged customers who purchase or lease a new Lexus vehicle may be eligible to receive up to a $1,000 allowance from Lexus Division to assist with the cost of acquiring and installing adaptive driving aids on their vehicle.
