PERFORMANCE

Off-Road Performance, Elevated

GX has been known for its legendary off-road performance from the beginning, and the GX 550 takes that to a new level. Standard Full-Time 4WD provides consistent responsiveness in varied terrain, with a Torsen® limited-slip center differential with locking feature. This optimally distributes the driving force according to the load on the left or right rear wheels, delivering a high level of controlled performance. And in straight-line driving, the GX 550 responds to changes in road conditions, contributing to overall vehicle stability.

Evolved Engine, Extraordinary Power

The powertrain on the GX has been engineered to meet the needs of demanding drivers, on and off-road. GX will come standard with an efficient twin-turbocharged 3.5L V6 engine paired with a 10-speed Direct Shift Automatic Transmission, producing an impressive 349 hp, and outputting a massive 479 lb.-ft. Of torque. The twin tubrochargers deliver steady and consistent acceleration and control across a range of driving terrains. And for the Signature, Premium and Overtrail grades, towing capacity has increased to 8,000 lbs.

First-Ever Lexus OVERTRAIL Grade

At the Tokyo Outdoor Show earlier this year, Lexus introduced the first ever Overtrail Project, intended to inspire customers around the world to explore nature through refined adventures. The Overtrail grade for is available on the new GX, boasting a host of feature and specialized styling, including eye-catching mono-tone and bi-tone paint combinations designed to create a cohesive relationship with the outdoors. Multi-Terrain Select (MTS), Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and 3D Multi-Terrain Monitor Systems are available on GX Overtrail grade for optimal traction on trails.

Rugged Yet Refined Exterior

The all-new GX 550 has an unmistakably aggressive exterior design that lives up to the tough, rugged persona that GX line has long been known for. This is a true body-on-frame SUV, and that capability is expressed throughout the vehicle in the sharp juxtaposition of a tough exterior, with a calming, modern, luxurious interior space. Safe to say, this is everything a GX should be - inside and out.

Six Equally Impressive Grades

While this is an SUV that can take on practically anything, we did not take for granted that drivers wanted a one-size-fits-all offering. That’s why the 2024 GX 550 will be offered in six different grades, each carefully designed to meet the needs of drivers who demand their own combination of style and performance. These grades include the Signature, Premium, Luxury, Executive and all-new for Lexus, the Overtrail and Overtrail +.

A Bold Presence

This new generation of GX is noticeably different, with a square body profile and horizontal design motif. The Lexus spindle body concept is continued here, with an all-new bold, resolute design that not only stops the eye, but also aids in off-road functionality. From its wide track and fender flares to the raised Premium Triple Beam headlamp and grille, you’ll sense that this is something different. And it all rides on hard-to-miss 33-inch tires that contribute to the vehicle’s strong presence.

UNMATCHED COMFORT

Lush Interior

The new GX 550 perfectly presents the duality required in a luxury SUV: the demand for a rugged, capable exterior with the kind of luxurious interior that helps create a road-trip oasis. No matter how far or how long the journey, both drivers and passengers will reap the benefits of the modern and sophisticated interior that features a driver-focussed cockpit design, and a host of thoughtful elements that allow the driver the confidence to focus on the journey ahead. In short, as incredible as this GX looks on the outside, it is equally impressive once the doors close behind everyone who enters.

Seating for Seven

With seating for up to 7, the all-new GX incorporates thoughtful touches at every turn. Ergonomic measures have been implemented to help decrease load and work to aid driving posture through seat cushion, seatback bolster, and headrest improvements. The second-road seating comes in two available configurations: captain’s chairs or a 60:40 split-folding bench. Heated and ventilated seats are standard in the driver and front passenger seats, and heated second-row seats are available.

Nature-Inspired Interior

As much thought has gone into the interior colour palette of the new GX as the rest of the vehicle. The nature-inspired interior colour design is intended to complement the environment just outside the vehicle, contributing to the sense of comfort, ease and adventure that the great outdoors provide. From the grained trim, ultrasuede accents, and ornamentation that are available, it becomes apparent that no detail has been overlooked to make the journeying in a GX an unforgettable experience.

TECHNOLOGY

Intuitive Driving Technology

The new GX features an all-new lower, horizontal instrument panel that carries into the dash for a simplified front and passenger seat experience. It provides a clean, open save that seamlessly connects the available Head-Up Display (HUD) to the centre where the standard 14-inch Multimedia Touchscreen Display with Lexus Interface technology can be found. The 2024 GX also comes standard with a wireless Apple Carplay® Integration and Android Auto^TM compatibility, as well as a digital 12.3 Multi-Information Display (MID).

Lexus Safety System + 3.0

The 2024 Lexus GX is equipped with Lexus Safety System (LSS+) 3.0, elevating your peace of mind to a whole new level. Enhancements include Pre-Collision System (PCS) with Pedestrian Detection, All-speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/SA), Road Sign Assist (RSA) and Proactive Driving Assist (PDA).
